Hebrew Paper #4

Almost done!  Something got pinched in my back last week, which gave me a few days stuck at home barely able to move. Then there was a holiday, so I was able to lay back and listen to my last few Hebrew lectures and get most of the final paper done.  What a relief.  A few of the remaining tasks are contingent on something else happening, but otherwise I am a month ahead of schedule.  Hopefully the back will be completely healed in the next week so I can get back to exercise..

What to do with all my free time?

I have a lot of free time, but we only have one computer, and my son uses that for home study. I do have an Ipad, but it's awkward to use for some things. I try to stay home with my son as much as possible. Anyway, it's a very boring life.

Hope your back is feeling better! I'm actually surprised you hurt it, considering that you are in pretty good shape to begin with. Usually it's us lazy fat people who get hurt the easiest. :)

I think you are doing about the same as Solo, but you are better than Solo's dad. :)

Backs are bad for you. I didn't know that till something made a funny noise down my spine last December.

I don't do pain. And,like a cat, I will try my best to avoid pills. Thus I learnt that sometimes you have to get over yourself. Doctors will give you empty promises and false hope: It didn't take six to twelve weeks to subside. It took five months. Of course, now that it's all gone and instead of being grateful, I'd forgotten all about it till you reminded me.

What to do with all your free time, Looney? Well, once you run out of Hebrew you could follow up on your desire to refresh your German.

Cheering you on,
U

Strange! I pulled a groin muscle and was laid low. Used the enforced rest to catch up with a lot of reading.

@Ursula,

I had just looked up from an Aramaic Grammar when I saw your comment. Perhaps I should find a Semitic Languages book in German? They seem to be the experts!

Thanks for the encouragement. You are welcome to join me among the invertebrates later.

@Rummuser, injuries are quite a blessing. Now you have me wondering if you have any stories associated with the groin injury.

Okay, Looney, let me share the story. When I went to consult the doctor, he too wanted to know how I managed to acquire that very athletic injury at my age. When I probed on what age has to do with it, he said that normally people of my age get such problems trying out Kamasutra tricks. Happy?
