Yum!  Since all great blogs have recipes, I decided to include this one which is in a book that we checked out from the Fremont Main Library.  Can you figure out what it is?

Thanks, Looney: "All great blogs include recipes". Mine doesn't.

What is it? Who knows. Working from the outside in: Some stock (preferably made from scratch). Fillet of fish cut to precision (maybe chicken breast too - interchangeable as it were) and celery. Peppercorns. Most likely some fresh ginger. The egg has been slaughtered. On the whole the dish could do with a bit more colour to make it more appetizing. But then who cares when you are hungry.

@Ursula I hate it when dishes have color... color in cases like this often means vegetables.

Tofu something or the other?

My chinese reading ability isn't very good, but I can see from the picture, and a few of the characters that it appears to be pork, and perhaps some odd parts of the pig. It looks delicious!

The literal translation of the title is "dog meat pig stomach soup".

Hi Looney!

My blog doesn't have recipes...wow nice way of saying my blog isn't great LOL LOL *nodding*!

I don't know what it is (to me it looks like a chicken soup...but since I have been served crocodile for chicken in a Chinese restaurant, in Africa, before...) I will read the other comments to see if I get an answer...

Love your sense of humour, you know it :D.

Cheers

Howdy Max,

Well, I was more intending to flatter other bloggers with my comment about recipes than put anyone down, but it seems I always get myself in trouble!
