I don't know...something about this just seems sacriligious. Maybe it's the possibility of how the children might carelessly use the toy. And how might it affect their faith? Would they ask, "Is Jesus real, or just imaginary like the other action figures?"

My daughter thought it was intended to be mocking. I should have looked at the other characters that were for sale.

The other two in the photo appear to be Oscar Wilde and Richard Wagner... not sure what kind of little kid would want to play action figures with boring historical figures. lol

I have seen some of those Bible "action figures" before. I think this is what the more (hmmm, what's the word? extreme?) Christians give their children for toys. They have every Bible character.

My Mom bought me a box of Marvel and DC comics in the 1990s and one of them features Jesus as the hero. It is called 'The Easter Story' (Marvel).
