The Vegan Great Commision

"Therefore go and make Vegans of all animal life, baptizing them in the name of the Organic, the Fair Trade, and the Sustainability, and teaching them to obey everything that Environmentalists command you.  And surely the Force will be be with you always, to the very end of the age."

Whiney Christians.  Imagine how much more difficult it is to teach a Great White shark to eat kelp.

Oh but didn't you see the name of the company? "Loving Hut". If I feed my pet organic food, I'm showing loooove, right?

Reminds me of a gag in the short-running "the Goode Family" cartoon where the vegan-fed dog takes to eating neighborhood pets to get the nutrition it needs.

:) This sign is at a restaurant that is half a mile from Stanford University, where the smartest people on the West Coast hang out!

:0) They just think they are the smartest, Looney. Sometimes it's like the absent-minded professor, where they missed getting common sense. Or they have control issues?

To bring a different perceptive to this issue, let me talk about vegetarians in India who keep pets. Most of them feed their pets vegetarian food, more or less the same as they themselves eat. Some to add soya chunks as they are called here, in the food for a higher protein content. Dogs and cats do not seem to mind and do flourish with such diets.

Rummuser, thanks for that note. They add much soya to the dog food here that is available in the stores, so I wonder if some of it isn't vegetarian already. But I do wonder if Hindus and Buddhists would seek out strictly vegetarian pet food here in the US where there is a readily available large selection. The large pet food retail stores already stock vegetarian dog food.

I suppose much of the surprise is in seeing a dog food advertisement on the window of a restaurant, which I have never seen before.

Teach a shark to eat sea kelp? How is this for a challenge, Looney: Teach a cow how to eat meat. Blank stare. Mooh.

Dogs are dogs. Pigs are hoovers. And humans are omnivores - covering all options as it were. Make mine medium rare and a large helping of rabbit food, please. Thank you.

U, I believe the UK has some experience with carnivorous cows? Something called Bovine spongiform encephalopathy? It did something to the brain if I recall correctly.
