Girl Scout Cookies are fund raising for Planned Parenthood?

If the linked article is true, this is a formula that only Hell could devise.

Looney, hi!

If this is true than Hell has broken loose: Quo Vadis America?

The most interesting thing in that WPost article was the suggestion that Girls Scout are pro-choice: they mean the Girls Scout's mothers are pro-choice, cause what do little girls know about it?

It is distasteful to use kids as a political tool, simply distasteful.

The world needs a good plan to tackle these planned parenthood plans and theories, cause it is getting out of control.

Cheers

The link article was to the Washington Times, not the Washington Post! This is a distinction that leftists hold dear, since the WP is considered to be truth, while the WT is the evil right!

Checking the internet more, the controversy has been going on many years and the girl scouts did take a membership hit. The kind of stable families that produce girl scouts and volunteer parents aren't the same demographic as the radical left! At the same time there are many who will get involved and pay no attention to the broader aims of the parent organization.

I presume Portugal also has organizations dedicated to promoting promiscuity + abortion?

Wow! I really wanted to post this on my facebook profile, but one of my "friends" has been posting about how many millions of boxes of cookies her daughter has been selling. I didn't feel like starting an argument. It's sad to see the lengths the liberals will go to indoctrinate children with their agenda.

Looney,

I was distracted, I apologise for that awful mistake. So, WP is evil Left LOL...*nodding*.

I see. In Portugal, the Scouts (with both boys, girls and teens) is a Catholic institution; so it was shocking to me to read that American Scouts differentiate between Girl scouts and Boy scouts; and that they allow gender confusion? Plus, mixing politics with kids? Tacky.

"I presume Portugal also has organizations dedicated to promoting promiscuity + abortion?"

The Catholic Church still controls most of the country, so Portugal does not have the kind of organisations America has promoting such practices. However, it does have AIDS fighting organisations (the most known is "Abraço"), which sway to the left, that distribute condoms and such. But I have never heard of hardcore leftist organisations promoting abortions or the use of oral contraceptives, no.
Nevertheless, thanks to our former socialist government abortion is now legal (although with many legal twists that still can lead women to prison).

Delirious, I thought about posting it on Facebook also, but didn't. Guess I leave all the provocative stuff for the blog. Well, almost. I did a Facebook post while I was sitting at a coffee shop recently and a group of elderly feminists were ranting about southern raised males (i.e. me) being a bunch of mindless, stereotype driven, racist, chauvinistic bigots!
