Doctor shortage ...

It has been awhile since I mentioned this, but the problem goes on unabated.  The US government rations medical school slots, and there simply aren't enough doctors.  Free market theory says that the prices for medical services should go through the roof, and indeed they are.  For those who think the communist model is better, keep in mind that communism requires twice as many workers to get the same job done.  Expect things to get much worse.

I think you have nailed this one.

Put a positive spin on it. Imagine reverting to the lifestyles of our grand parents. They were sturdy, healthy and kicked the bucket in style. They did not have the facilities we have. May be, the way the world is shaping, we will all revert to that kind of life styles and survive very successfully.

Ramana, yes, it brings us back to the good 'ole wild west days! I usually have to be forced to see the doctor anyway. The Stoic philosophers were also big on how to end life without the presence of a doctor.

There is the small detail that our grandparents weren't paying taxes to supply medical benefits to a dozen illegal immigrants and supporting the glamorous lifestyle of a hoard of medical malpractice lawyers, but it isn't good to dwell on such things.
